My
SAKURA
On Internet, you can find plenty of descriptions of Akita, its size, its
weight, its colors, its origins, etc... It is enough for you to type "Akita
inu" and you have a wide choice... All the breeders say the same thing:
it is a dog whithout an equivalent... and I agree... To my mind, it is
the most beautiful dog in the world, and certainly one of the most intelligent
and the most intuitive... True intelligence does not consist merely in
being able to obey any order, nor to learn any trick... Rather it shows
itself in the ability to adapt to a given situation, and also to
learn from experience, and to apply... Its great "wolf-like" instinct
drives its behaviour, and if you interpret it as it follows this instinct,
you will find yourself understanding it very well and recognizing yourself..!
I first began to know this breed 10 years ago... by reading articles in
specific canine magazines... And I fell in love with the photographs I
saw : proud dogs , majestic, enigmatic, a little haughty. Yes, yes... they
dominate you, even when they are lying down...! And 2 years ago, a combination
of circumstances enabled me to obtain the dog of my dreams... I was lucky,
now I know it, to get my Sakura...!!! A short time ago, I found out that
those dogs I had so much admired in these magazines were all (or nearly
all) her direct ancestors : great-grandfathers, grandmothers and grandfather,
and even a great-aunt... It is clear why she has this majesty and this
dignity I admire so much!!
...even lying, they look at you in a hight and mighty way...
