An
advice to much people : abstain...
It is nice to see only the "teddy bear" side of Akita, but it is necessary
to know that its character is not docile : it has very strong character,
very dominating, "considering" orders received, frankly not liking them
, and showing it... If you want a servile dog, which obeys immediatly,
try something else: an Akita is not for you... In the same way, if you
are not used to having a "feeling" for a dog, and if for you, an "Akita
is a dog like any other dog", look elsewhere... If you want to be the "dad"
or the "mum" of the "big doggie", I am afraid that you will not be up to
dealing with it, and you will regret having taken Akita, because
it will dominate you... and then... the best luck to you...! On the other
hand, if you are an authoritarian person, who systematically wants to dominate
a dog at all costs, because it is "a inferior being", you will also
make a big mistake if you choose Akita... Worse, if you have a tendency
to brutality... you are certainly not for an Akita... Finally, if it is
your first dog, even if you are really keen to have this "living fluffy
toy", forget it, because you'll regret, I guarantee it to you : Akita is
not a toy...!!!
Because, to return to Saku, when she has been able to dominate a person,
or of another animal, she can make life hell for this person or animal,
treating him or it as a toy at her disposal whenever she feels like it...
She is not malicious, but can be seriously annoying. She is like that with
our friends or close family, but not with us. I find this amusing, but
